We know you're excited to receive your fabric, and we're just as excited to get it to you! Here's everything you need to know about shipping from Thousands of Bolts.
🧵 Order Processing & Shipping
Every order is carefully cut, packed, and shipped in the order it's received.
Orders typically ship within 1–2 business days, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Orders placed on weekends or holidays begin processing the next business day.
Once your shipping label is created, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking information. Please allow additional time for USPS to scan your package and update tracking.

We currently ship throughout the United States.
At this time, we do not offer local pickup or expedited shipping.
📦 Shipping Rates
We ship via USPS Priority Mail, with shipping rates based on the quantity and type of fabric ordered.
Your shipping cost is calculated automatically and displayed at checkout.
How Shipping Is Calculated
Different fabrics have different weights and packaging requirements. To keep shipping fair and consistent, we calculate shipping using the following yardage equivalents:

| Flannel | 1 yard = 1.2 shipping yards |
| Wide backing (108") | 1 yard = 2.2 shipping yards |
| Fat quarter | 1 piece = 0.25 shipping yards |
| Fabric panel | 1 panel = 1 shipping yard |
Shipping Yardage Rounding
We combine the shipping equivalents for everything in your cart and round the total up to the next whole shipping yard.
For example, an order totaling 9.25 shipping yards is rounded to 10 shipping yards and falls into the 10–15 yard shipping tier.

Ordering More Than 150 Yards?
We'd be happy to help! Orders exceeding 150 shipping yards require a custom shipping quote. Please contact us before placing your order so we can provide shipping pricing.
🐿️ Lost, Missing, or Damaged Packages
We take great care in preparing every order and want your fabric to arrive safely.
Please verify your shipping address before placing your order. Once a package has shipped, we cannot guarantee address changes or delivery redirects.
If your tracking information hasn't updated in 7 days, please contact us so we can help investigate.
If your package arrives damaged or tracking shows delivered but you haven't received it, please notify us within 10 days of the delivery date reported by the carrier.

Please include your order number and, when applicable, photos of the damage. We'll work with the shipping carrier to investigate and help resolve the issue.
